There are hundreds of options. Here is what sets this one apart.
The quality of an Ayahuasca experience is determined by the caliber of the Maestro, the depth of the container, and the capacity of the facilitation team. Every decision at Ananda is designed to maximize all three.
The Maestro participates in the full retreat
Maestro Wilder does not arrive for ceremony and leave. He shares meals, joins integration circles, and builds a direct relationship with each pasajero across the full eight days. Two individual consultas, one after Ceremony 1 and one before Ceremony 3: give each guest direct access to the Maestro in a way that is rare in the Ayahuasca world. Most programs offer none.
Highly trained guardians. With 8 people, you are seen.
A high staff-to-guest ratio means every person in the room is held as an individual. Our guardians are trained in somatic trauma-informed facilitation and western psychology. They track each nervous system and respond in real time, creating the conditions to go deeper than you could in a room of twenty-five.
Preparation and integration designed for depth
Deep healing requires nervous-system safety before you arrive. One care team member takes you from your first preparation session through your final integration session. The somatic psychology and rigor of preparation create the conditions for the medicine to go further, and integration is where the work becomes lasting.
Luxury that does not compromise the medicine
King ocean-view suites, gourmet meals prepared with respect for the dieta, a property perched above the jungle and the Pacific. You do not choose between authentic ceremony and physical comfort. Between ceremonies, your body rests in beauty.
Sacred meets science
Maestro Wilder carries 23 years of Shipibo healing tradition. Our western facilitators are trained in both sacred plant medicine and clinical psychology, including somatic trauma-informed practices. Traditional precision and contemporary attunement in the same room, for the same person.
Go deeper with the medicine of Kambô
For guests who want to go further, Kambô, the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor frog, is available as an optional add-on. Used by Amazonian tribes for generations, it is a powerful physical and energetic detoxifier that many guests find deepens their capacity to receive the Ayahuasca work. Entirely optional and discussed during intake.
The Shipibo-Konibo lineage.
The Shipibo represent the largest and most resilient tribe of the Peruvian Amazon, with a population of 35,000 to 40,000 living along the Ucayali River, keepers of one of the most sophisticated healing lineages in the world.
- Formerly two tribes, Shipibo and Conibo, who merged their philosophies and rituals into a single lineage that survived Spanish colonization intact
- They gain their healing powers and wisdom directly from the plants themselves, through decades of dedicated dietas
- Their icaros, or healing songs, carry the intelligence of generations directly into each guest's energetic field
- Their kené textiles are a physical expression of the all-encompassing oneness that underlies the Shipibo worldview
- What we call trauma, they call dense energies, held in the physical and energetic body. The Onanya removes these blockages through precision work, not ceremony as performance

Three ceremonies, spaced for integration.
Time for your nervous system to settle. Deep support before, during, and after.

Your guardians.
Every person in this container has a role with clear edges. The Maestro leads the medicine work. Michal leads ceremony as Lead Guardian. Emma co-leads and holds guest experience. Kimberly holds somatic facilitation throughout, and Hannelore guides daily movement.

Maestro Wilder Rojas Nunta
Maestro Wilder has walked the Shipibo healing path for over 23 years. Rooted in the ancestral traditions of the Shipibo-Konibo people, he has dieted and initiated with a wide range of master plants, including remo caspi, chihuahuaco, and palo voladora. Among his specialties is work with warmis plants, a lineage focused on harmonizing relationships and restoring emotional connection.
In ceremony he is known for his ability to safely guide and protect participants, opening what he describes as “the world of the medicines”, a space of light, love, joy, and clarity. He is present throughout the full retreat, with two individual consultas for each pasajero.

Michal, Sanken Koshi
Initiated through the Santo Daime tradition, Michal dove into deep shamanic study with Colombian Taitas and dieted with Peruvian Maestros and Brazilian Pajés. Carrying two degrees in psychology with a focus on decolonization and human consciousness, he brings a grounded approach to sustainable transformation.
As a musician, he works with the medicine of song and symbol throughout ceremony, weaving word and movement into the living core of the work he holds.

Emma Alexandra
Emma's path is rooted in indigenous wisdom traditions and plant medicine, with a commitment to reciprocity, integrity, and the honoring of lineage. As a singer and musician, she works with the medicine of sound throughout the program.
Her focus on plant medicine integration supports guests in weaving the insights of ceremony into the fabric of daily life.

Kimberly Ocaña
Kimberly brings 20 years of coaching experience and five years working closely with plant medicines, including deep study in the Shipibo-Konibo lineage. Her own experience of corporate burnout and subsequent transformation through plant medicine is the root of Ananda Lodge.
She holds a somatic trauma-informed approach across every stage of the program, from intake through final integration session. Certified sound healing therapist and ICF Professional Coach.

Hannelore Brandt
A certified breathwork facilitator and professional belly dancer, Hannelore offers breathwork, meditation, and somatic movement practices designed for deep body awareness, emotional balance, and wellbeing.
Her background as a professional dancer shaped her understanding that transformation is a fully embodied process. She leads daily movement, meditation, and embodiment sessions.
