You are here

Something shifted after your last ceremony.

You have sat with medicine. You know what it feels like to surrender, to move through. And now you are holding a different kind of question. Not whether this path is real. Whether you are ready for how deep it actually goes.

  • You have done real ceremony work
  • You are ready to deepen with teachers and mentors, not just facilitators
  • Peru is calling in a way that feels deliberate
  • You are ready for a room of peers at depth
  • You feel called to the land where these medicines originate
  • You know there is more available than what you have accessed

The beginning is behind you. The Convergence is what comes next.

ceremony / practitioner — Ananda Lodge

You're ready to…

  • Take your relationship with the plants to the next level, moving beyond nerves and into the deeper spiral within.
  • Work alongside people who have walked this path for years, lineage carriers who show up as mentors to guide you deeper.
  • Sit in ceremony on the land where these medicines originate: the Sacred Valley, the Apus, the unbroken lineage of thousands of years.
  • Go where the medicine wants to take you and what it wants to teach you, beyond the beginning, deeper into your knowing.
group / land — Ananda Lodge

This Convergence is designed for…

  • Plant-medicine students committed to the path of purpose and up-leveling their lives.
  • Those who have done ceremonial work, preparation, navigation, trust, and integration, and are looking to go beyond.
  • Individuals wanting to learn more deeply from the plants and the teachers who honor the lineages they carry.
  • Adventurous spirits drawn to the land as an integral part of the work, a calling for Peru that feels curated, intimate, and purposeful.
What this container holds

Two medicines. One integrated arc.

This is not parallel facilitation. Huachuma opens and illuminates. Ayahuasca descends and purges. Sequenced together across ten days by carriers who have developed collaborative practice specifically for cross-cosmological integration, these two traditions reveal what neither can achieve alone. Held at a location that has hosted sacred ceremony for thousands of years.

01

A Location Unlike Anything Else

The Source Peru sits at 10,000 feet in the Sacred Valley, steps from a pristine 100-foot waterfall. Architecturally designed using sacred geometry, surrounded by the Apus, the ancient Andean mountains that have held ceremony for millennia. The land itself is a co-facilitator.

02

Intimacy That Creates Depth

Maximum ten guests. Four carriers across ten days. This holding ratio is unavailable in standard program models. Each person's arc is tracked individually across every ceremony by carriers who bring years of dedicated lineage work to this medicine.

03

The Best of What Ananda Does

Somatic trauma-informed facilitation. Comprehensive preparation and integration. The CARE framework that has defined Ananda's approach since the beginning. All of it transported to the Sacred Valley and woven with four of the most experienced carriers in either tradition.

04

Days to Breathe and Explore

Ceremony days are balanced with integration mornings, a half-day spa, excursion opportunities, and free time to wander extraordinary land. Machu Picchu, the Cusco ruins, the Pisac market, all within reach on your personal days.

The space that holds the container

The Source Peru.

Your physical container for this profound work is The Source Peru, an extraordinary "edge-of-luxury" retreat nestled at 10,000 feet above sea level in the Sacred Valley.

  • Set between a 100-foot waterfall and a river canyon, surrounded by eucalyptus groves and ancient Incan ruins
  • A ceremonial temple designed with sacred geometry to harness the energetics of the location
  • Private rooms with high-thread-count linens, down duvets, alpaca-wool blankets, and Sacred Valley views
  • Organic meals prepared fresh daily on site
  • Library, temple, fire pit, and expansive grounds for rest and reflection
  • A short distance from Machu Picchu and the sacred sites of the valley

Your 10-day immersion

A journey, day by day.

A rare opportunity to experience both medicines while bringing in rest, comfort, and time for exploration.

Day 1 · Aug 13

Arrival: Welcome, Settle In

Group shuttle departs Cusco town center at 3pm. Arrive at The Source Peru, meet your fellow guests and carriers. Orientation to the property, the land, and what the ten days will hold. Shared dinner to open the container.

Day 2 · Aug 14

Despacho Ceremony: Opening the Container with the Land

A traditional Andean offering ceremony performed by local Quechua Paqos, trained specialists in the art of the Despacho. Offerings are assembled with intention, prayers are spoken in Quechua, and the bundle is burned to consummate the agreement. The container is now open.

Day 3 · Aug 15

Huachuma San Pedro, Ceremony 1: Opening. Illumination.

The first San Pedro ceremony with Chase Moore and Nikki Szeghalmi. A daytime medicine with an unbroken ceremonial lineage stretching back over 3,000 years in Peru: a full-day hold that opens perception and brings what is held in the body to the surface with clarity rather than force. Fruit offering at ceremony close, shared group dinner.

Day 4 · Aug 16

Ayahuasca, Ceremony 1: Descent. The Night Medicine.

The first Ayahuasca ceremony with Felix (Soi Pino) and Safa, held in Shipibo tradition. Morning integration circle to process what Huachuma opened. The night ceremony descends into the root layers the San Pedro illuminated, with Shipibo icaros sung throughout.

Day 5 · Aug 17

Ayahuasca, Ceremony 2: Going Deeper

The second Ayahuasca ceremony. The consecutive structure is deliberate: the second night often goes where the first night pointed. The carriers track each person's arc and calibrate the ceremony accordingly. What remains unresolved from night one has space to complete on night two.

Day 6 · Aug 18

Integration Day: Land. Rest. Receive.

Morning group integration circle with all four carriers. 1:1 consultations available throughout the day. Rest, walk the gardens, sit by the waterfall, or take an optional excursion. This is where the Ayahuasca work begins to settle into the body.

Day 7 · Aug 19

Huachuma San Pedro, Ceremony 2: Integration Through the Body

The second San Pedro ceremony, again with Chase and Nikki. What Ayahuasca worked with in the dark, Huachuma now brings into daylight, integrating everything that has moved through the four preceding ceremony days into the body, into coherence, into lived experience.

Day 8 · Aug 20

Half-Day Spa, Included: The Body Receives

A half-day at Unno Spa, included in your program cost. Hot pools, thermal hydrotherapy, massage, and relaxation. This is somatic completion, not an add-on. The Machu Picchu excursion is also available this day for those who register in advance.

Day 9 · Aug 21

Personal Day: Sacred Valley at Your Own Pace

Explore, rest, or both. Optional off-site excursions (Cusco ruins, Pisac market, horseback riding, Huaypo Lagoon). Optional on-site massage, yoga, or natural spring cold plunge. Evening final dinner together.

Day 10 · Aug 22

Departure: Closing Circle. Carry It Forward.

Morning group closing circle with all carriers. Final breakfast together. Departure at 10am. The immersion closes here, but the integration arc continues for twelve weeks.

The land & the work

Moments from the Sacred Valley.

"Something real happened to me at Ananda, and I'll never forget it. Working with Chase and the medicine reached a place in me that needed healing for a long time. He never pushed, just held the space with this calm, grounded energy, and somehow knew what needed to be done. I'm still processing everything, but something is different. I'm different."
Christina · Huachuma Guest
"The ceremonies were profoundly healing, transformative and illuminating in ways that continue to unfold. The medicine met me in ways that are difficult to describe."
Susan · Ayahuasca Guest
"I am overwhelmed with deep gratitude for my experience at Ananda's ayahuasca retreat. Having sat with the medicine ten years prior, I knew I needed a Shipibo-led ceremony with all of the components critical for a safe, meaningful, and integrated experience. My stay far surpassed my expectations."
Scott · Ayahuasca Guest

Lineage carriers

Your medicine carriers.

Master teachers of each lineage, working in concert to hold this cross-cosmological container.

photo of Felix — Ananda Lodge

Felix (Soi Pino)

Shipibo-Trained Ayahuascero

Felix first came to the medicine seeking to heal from Lyme disease. After finding relief in Peru in 2013, he stayed on to learn traditional healing, spending years working closely with the medicine and the Shipibo people, assisting in over a thousand ceremonies before deepening his apprenticeship in Pucallpa.

With the full blessing of his maestro's lineage, Felix holds this medicine with great love and respect, and a deep passion for service.

photo of Safa — Ananda Lodge

Safa

Shipibo-Trained Ayahuascera

Safa has walked the path of ayahuasca for nearly two decades. After an extensive apprenticeship with the Shipibo-Conibo in the Amazon, she and her husband have run a center in Peru offering retreats and dietas since 2019.

She brings over twenty years of work with subtle energy medicine and ongoing study in non-duality, a visceral, direct lens that helps guests recall the pieces that have forgotten their true nature as love.

photo of Chase — Ananda Lodge

Chase Moore

Huachumero

A Tennessee native trained in the traditional San Pedro lineage by his longtime teacher Bernhard Karshagen, Chase has dedicated over ten years to working exclusively with San Pedro, completing extensive diets and holding diets for others.

"The Huachumero Chase is one of the kindest, most humble, and most competent teachers I've worked with. It was easy to feel safe and to trust the people and the medicine.", Vanessa, Cayman Islands
photo of Nikki — Ananda Lodge

Nikki Szeghalmi

Huachumera

Coming from a background of addiction and depression, Nikki was called to Peru in 2018 to work with her teachers Bernhard Karshagen and Chase Moore for a deep dive into her own healing. She offers a safe space of presence and love, weaving in mind, body, and energetic practices.

A balance of grit and softness, she meets each guest where they are, often cracking jokes and seeking lightness and joy amidst the challenges of life.

Common questions

The Convergence, answered.

Why work with both San Pedro & Ayahuasca in the same container?
Huachuma and ayahuasca are complementary teachers. Huachuma, worked with during the day, is grounding and expansive, it keeps you embodied while opening the heart and nervous system. Ayahuasca works at depth with the subconscious, often in ways that require the kind of openness Huachuma first creates. When sequenced intentionally, the two traditions produce a cross-cosmological integration not available in single-lineage containers.
What is a Despacho ceremony?
A despacho is a traditional Andean offering ceremony used to open sacred work, express gratitude, and call in right relationship with the land and the medicines. It takes place on Day 2, before any ceremony work begins. Participants contribute to the offering together, making it a collective act of intention-setting and reverence, a grounding way to enter the container.
Do I need previous experience with San Pedro or ayahuasca?
Prior plant-medicine experience is required, but you do not need to have worked with both medicines separately before attending. What matters is that you have done real ceremony work and that preparation, surrender, and integration are already familiar territory. Our intake process helps us understand where you are in your practice and whether this container is the right fit.
How do I know if I'm ready for this level of work?
The clearest signal is that the question has shifted, if you are no longer asking whether plant medicine is right for you, but how much further the path goes, you are likely ready. Wanting to learn from the plants as teachers, to be in a room with other experienced practitioners, and feeling pulled toward the land where these medicines originate are all meaningful indicators. The best way to know for certain is to book a complimentary Sacred Journey call.
Where does the retreat take place?
The Convergence takes place at The Source Peru, in the Sacred Valley at 10,000 feet of elevation. The property sits between a 100-foot waterfall and a river canyon, surrounded by eucalyptus groves and ancient Incan ruins, with Machu Picchu a short distance away. The ceremonial temple was designed using sacred geometry to harness the unique energetics of the location.
What are accommodations like?
Each participant has a private room in the main lodge, appointed with high-thread-count linens, down duvets, alpaca-wool blankets, and a private balcony or terrace with Sacred Valley views. Bathrooms are shared, with male and female floors separated. The first four guests to register receive queen-bed accommodations; remaining rooms have twin beds. All meals are included, prepared fresh daily on site.
Are there optional excursions available?
Yes. On rest and integration days, optional excursions are available at additional cost, including Machu Picchu, the Cusco 4 Ruins tour, Pisac Market and Ruins, Sacred Valley tours, horseback riding, and Huaypo Lagoon kayaking or paddleboarding. Excursions must be booked in advance, and Machu Picchu registration must be confirmed no later than May 15, 2026.
How should I prepare for the altitude?
The Source Peru sits at 10,000 feet above sea level. We recommend arriving in Cusco at least one to two days before the retreat to acclimatize. Stay well hydrated, avoid alcohol and strenuous activity in your first days, and move slowly. Our team shares detailed altitude-preparation guidance as part of your pre-retreat sessions.
